The Minister of Education and Training, Professor Ntoi Rapapa, has officially launched the second phase of the Prime Minister-led Golf Tournament, an initiative aimed at strengthening access to education for vulnerable children across Lesotho.
Professor Rapapa announced that this year’s tournament will take place on 27 March at the Maseru Golf Course. Funds raised during the event will be used to purchase educational materials for children in need.
He said the initiative forms part of the government’s broader strategy to mobilise resources and ensure the provision of quality education for all children, particularly those who are vulnerable.
During the first phase of the tournament held last year, one million Maloti was raised. The funds benefited children with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, helping to improve their access to essential learning resources.
The Ministry has encouraged stakeholders and members of the public to support the upcoming tournament in order to further advance inclusive education in the country.
