Nepali authorities have requested DNA samples from the families of six South Africans missing after devastating floods in Nepal and China on August 26.
More than 1,000 bodies have been recovered, while thousands of people remain missing. Search and rescue operations are continuing in the Himalayan region, with countries and organisations providing humanitarian assistance.
