Mohale FM The government has appealed to all public institutions to lead with transparency and accountability, work with urgency, and collaborate in coordinating their services in order to deliver results that improve the lives of Basotho.
Speaking yesterday afternoon while presenting a report on the Leadership forum held last week, Deputy Prime Minister Justice Nthomeng Majara said the summit highlighted that Lesotho has the vision, institutions, partners, public servants and national commitment required to drive its transformation.
She said the government will establish a Delivery Unit within the Office of the Prime Minister to monitor and oversee the implementation of the Summit’s resolutions over the next 12 months.
She indicated that the government’s priorities are to put the people first, promote leadership, report back to the public, strengthen implementation and achieve results, enhance coordination and collaboration across government, and promote self-reliance and innovation.
The summit will be followed by 3-day accountability forum, which begins tomorrow.
