The Botswana Football Association was working against Monday’s deadline to submit documentation for the country’s proposed joint bid with South Africa and Zimbabwe to host the 2028 Africa Cup of Nations.
Mmegi reports that CAF extended the submission deadline to September 14, while Botswana’s government is required to provide the necessary guarantee. The country previously missed out on the 2027 tournament, which was awarded to Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
