AIDS Healthcare Foundation Donates Office Equipment and Food Parcels to Ministry of Health in Maseru

The AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) yesterday donated office equipment and food parcels to the Ministry of Health at a ceremony held in Maseru.

Receiving the donation, the Honourable Minister of Health, Selibe Mochoboroane, highlighted longstanding challenges faced by vulnerable communities. He noted that research conducted in the 1980s revealed that communities along the Senqu River Valley were living in poor conditions and recorded the highest HIV prevalence rates at the time.

The Minister further explained that the Ministry continues to face difficulties in supporting patients on antiretroviral therapy who lack adequate nutrition. He stressed that proper access to food is essential for individuals undergoing treatment and expressed optimism that the support from AHF would contribute to reducing mortality rates among people living with HIV.
