The AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) in Lesotho has donated office equipment to health facilities it partners with across the country. The handover ceremony took place in Maseru, with the donated items allocated according to the specific needs of each facility.
AHF Country Director, Nthoesele Letoao, said the organization has been operating in Lesotho since 2014 and that it currently collaborates with 28 health facilities across six districts, including both government-run and church-owned institutions.
In addition to office equipment, the donation also included food parcels for patients receiving care. The total value of the donated items is estimated at M750,000.
Meanwhile, National Health Coordinator of the Roman Catholic Church in Lesotho, Hlompho Hlaha expressed appreciation for AHF’s continued support in the fight against HIV and AIDS.
He noted that the country has made significant progress in addressing HIV, adding that churches are proud of the strides Lesotho has achieved in combating the epidemic.
